Letterbox Hybrid Letterbox cache container hidden at posted coordinates.
Event Cache Cachers meet at posted coordinates.
Cache In Trash Out Event Clean up event at posted coordinates.
Final Location This is the actual location that the cache is hidden at for Multi, Unknown and Wherigo Caches.

Caches Not at Posted Coordinates

Multi-cache A string of caches starting at posted coordinates
Unknown Cache Cache requiring a puzzle to be solved or other activity to determine the actual coordinates that the cache is hidden at.
Wherigo Cache Cache based on a program running on a smart phone or other enabled device that leads the cacher to the final cache.

Virtual Caches

Virtual Cache Cacher goes to posted coordinates to collect information required to log the cache. This is a grandfathered cache type. No new Virtual Caches are allowed.
Webcam Cache Cacher goes to the posted coordinates to capture their picture on a webcam. This is a grandfathered cache type. No new Webcam Caches are allowed.
Earth Cache Cacher goes to the posted coordinates to learn about geologic features.
